Dear Ladies

Please find below some information on our internal support group, helping hands and an invitation to join the Gersabelles in their Christmas Carol project.  This is open to everyone (and partners) who want to air their singing voices for Christmas.

HELPING HANDS -  This is an internal support group.  We offer assistance to any LLC member who needs temporary or emergency support. The group can give practical help in the house or garden, do shopping, provide transport to hospital appointments, come for home visits or just listen.  This group is run by Magda Looij and Pamela Savage.  You can contact them if you need help, or if you know of somebody who needs assistance.  Or you can contact them if you would like more information or to have your name added to this list of helpers.  Magda will be at the lunch on Tuesday, please have a chat with her if you would like more information or email lunchclubgascogne@gmail.com

THE GERSABELLES -  This is the LLC singing group/ choir.  They performed at our summer BBQ and have had a few successful concerts during the summer.  The group have decided to start a Christmas Carol project, which will start now and run until Christmas.  As this is a special project we would like to open it up to anyone in the LLC who feels like singing for fun even if you would not normally want to commit to the choir.  Due to a number of requests it is also open to husbands, partners and significant others.  If you and/or your partner would be interested in joining this group please let Kat (the leader of the choir) know, by responding to this by email lunchclubgascogne@gmail.com or speaking to Margaretha at the lunch on Tuesday.

The Gersabelles rehearse in Nogaro (a room above the cinema) on Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 12:00.  We are looking to put together a few carols to perform as we build up to Christmas - the dates to be confirmed but are likely to be at the beginning of December.  Please join us for rehearsals even if you may not be able to attend all of the performances. 

We would love to see new faces and hear some new voices so hope that you will be inspired to join this fun festive project.  We are also looking for a pianist, as our current pianist Helen is working in the UK for a few months,  We would be delighted to find a pianist who can help out with this Christmas Carole project.

TEA AND SALE - Marian L'Estrange has asked that I remind you that she has invited us to her house (in Condom)  for tea after the lunch on Tuesday 9th October.  She has some items that she would like to sell and wants to offer them to the LLC members.
