LADIES LUNCH CLUB D'ARMAGNAC -
We aim to act as a link between women of all nationalities, for social contact and the exchange of information, the organisation of various events including exhibitions, markets, creative workshops, and to share our regional knowledge of life in Gascony, France.
Our objective is to promote friendship between women of all nationalities living in Gascony, SW France, to share our interests and to offer help when needed. The Club started in 2008, with twenty English ladies living in Gascony, using a foreign language and experiencing a new life. Since then, several different groups have been added and our membership has grown into the hundreds, with new ladies moving to the area and ladies who have lived here a while, who have discovered us, who want to make new acquaintances and discover new areas of interest. Today we have eleven nationalities, and our speaking/working language is English. The LLC meets on the second Tuesday of each month, excluding July and August.Every member receives an email each month, giving the name of the restaurant, the chosen, menu and a booking form. In 2014, we became a non-profit making Association, known as Ladies Lunch Club de l’Armagnac. Our annual subscription fee of 10 € is payable in January each year. Each member of the Club may participate in some or all of our various groups
We have performed at the LLC summer BBQ 2018 and have had a few successful concerts during the summer. The group have decided to start a Christmas Carol project which has started and will run until Christmas. As this is a special project, we would like to open it up to anyone in the LLC who feels like singing for fun even if you would not normally want to commit to the choir. Due to a number of requests, it is also open to husbands, partners and significant others. If you and/or your partner would be interested in joining this group, please let Kat (the leader of the choir) know by emailing
perform as we build up to Christmas - the dates to be confirmed but are likely to be at the beginning of December. Please join us for rehearsals even if you may not be able to attend all of the performances.
We would love to see new faces and hear some new voices so we hope that you will be inspired to join this fun festive project.
We are also looking for a pianist as our current pianist, Helen, is working in the UK for a few months, We would be delighted to find a pianist who can help out with this Christmas Carole project and to play the piano at our singing sessions.
If you are able to help, or know of someone who might, please contact
