Our objective is to promote friendship between women of all nationalities living in Gascony, SW France, to share our interests and to offer help when needed. The Club started in 2008, with twenty English ladies living in Gascony, using a foreign language and experiencing a new life. Since then, several different groups have been added and our membership has grown into the hundreds, with new ladies moving to the area and ladies who have lived here a while, who have discovered us, who want to make new acquaintances and discover new areas of interest. Today we have eleven nationalities, and our speaking/working language is English. The GLC meets on the second Tuesday of each month, excluding July and August.Every member receives an email each month, giving the name of the restaurant, the chosen, menu and a booking form. In 2014, we became a non-profit making Association, known as Ladies Lunch Club de l’Armagnac and was re-named in 2019 to Gascogne Ladies Club. Our annual subscription fee of 10 € is payable in January each year. Each member of the Club may participate in some or all of our various groups

April LLC Lunch 10th April 2018

We are delighted to welcome you to the next
LLC lunch on Tuesday 10th April at 




Chateau de Caumale, Escalans

 which is just in the Landes.  This mediaeval-style 12th century Chateau is a new venue for us but one that has already been enjoyed by members of the Committee.
Our hostess and LLC member, Genevieve (Vivi) Fabre looks forward to welcoming us to her home and table and hopes that we will have a very enjoyable meal and take the opportunity to take a tour of the Château after lunch.

The cost is 18 Euro, which includes a welcome drink, wine and coffee.  This is great value. 



 April reservations & Chateau tour

Geneviève also offers a guided tour of the Chateau  and will use any donations raised to support renovation.   Please can you indicate on the booking form if you would like to participate in a guided tour after the lunch.  This will allow us to assess interest and logistics.  Please go to the website for more information www.chateaudecaumale.fr.


The deadline for booking is Monday 2nd April, so please can you submit your reservation form as soon as possible together with your choice of main course.

Please send me an email on lunchclubgascogne@gmail.com if you are having problems with the form or feel that it has not worked (you should get a notification at the end of the process).  If you are having problems, I will manually add you to the list (please also let me know your choices).  I will send out a list of responses before the deadline.

We look forward to welcome you from 12:00.  Please bring either your cheque for €18, made payable to “Ladies Lunch Club de l’Armagnac”, or cash in an envelope marked with your name.  Your assistance with this is much appreciated as it helps to speed up the booking-in process. 
Please note that you will be charged if you cancel within 72 hours of the lunch. 
The LLC Committee look forward to welcoming you to a lively and convivial luncheon at this interesting and very historic venue on 10th April.

What’s on in April -  We have received notification of the following from our members (which will be posted on Facebook and put on the blog)

  • Cinema Club - Thursday afternoon in Fleurance at 5:30 (every other week).  Enjoy an English spoken film and then spend time discussing the film and chatting over a glass of wine.  For more information contact Susan.Brissaud@wanadoo.fr.

  • LLC Lunch 10th April

  • English Theatre Company “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead” by Tom Stoppard.  6pm 4th & 5th May at Lectoure and 11th & 12th May at Maubourguet.  More information to follow
